With the various memory sizes on the X6 (8GB, 16GB and 32GB are now available, along with Comes with Music available in some regions for the 32GB model), Nokia appear to be following the model of other consumer electronic companies in providing a baseline model and making it available with various options so it can be considered at a number of price points.
It’s a smart decision, and of course gives the networks various options to slot an X6 model into their portfolio where there is a suitable marketing gap that requires a modern touchscreen phone at a certain price or with a certain amount of storage.
The X6 has come a long way since it was released at the end of last year – Steve recently looked at the 16GB version, and I’m still happily using my 32GB version as my main phone. It’s understated, fashionable, and could well be in many more hands once the 8GB hits the streets.
