Symbian and RIM have announced a new partnership in regard to the provision of always-on e-mail and other wireless connectivity capabilities. According to this article, the announcement (to be made at the CTIA on Monday), will herald extra wireless functionality for Symbian devices in the corporate marketplace, allowing users to wirelessly send and receive e-mail and other corporate data. Mitsubishi are showing at CeBIT a Symbian phone. The phone is in the planning stages (currently best thought of as a concept phone). Features include a 1/4 VGA screen, a high resolution camera (megapixels), Memory Stick Duo slot, and Voice over IP technology. Sounds nice! All this from a company who has no public link with Symbian.
