Thomas Boys, after going beyond the call of duty in acquiring one, brings us this review of the Panasonic X800 Series 60 smartphone. Summary: good hardware and good software bundle but don't buy this for music or video functions.

It sure is useless at all media functions - even RealPlayer won't play half the formats it should do!

In a vain attempt to break my irrational love, I bought one of these things as well... it's not going to last in my ownership - there's just TOO much that the (now old and slow) Sendo X does so much better. (especially if you're a media buff)

Tom, I'm amazed you got Smartmovie to run - whenever I try it, the phone resets!

(in terms of software compatibility, it reminds me of the good old 6680)

It was one of the more obscure versions and I did say it didn't run well...
