Seesmic Release N95 Client for Mobile Video Conversations

Published by at

Video conversation site Seemsic has released a beta N95 client for the service. It allows you to record and subsequently upload a video to the site either as a new post or as a reply to an existing conversation. The service is free to join (as is Seesmic itself) and you can download it by pointing you N95 at http://m.seesmic.com/.

Seesmic joins a number of sites offering video via your mobile, although it is not using the 'live broadcast' model as Qik, Flixwagon, Kyte TV and others promote. Instead Seesmic feels more like a web based forum, with individuals posting new topics or using their video to reply to others. Offering a mobile version could lead to some interesting posts!

Seesmic users will be able to record and watch Seesmic videos directly from their cell phones. On top of that, this application stands as the first tool in which users can reply to their friend's videos and build a threaded conversation from their cell phone. Also, true to its social software nature, the Seesmic application allows users to post a Twitter message with a link to their new videos.
