Published by Steve Litchfield at 18:51 BST, July 6th 2008

Guest writer Luke Barton has been trialling the new CoPilot 7 satellite navigation system for S60 3rd Edition - here's his full review after using it for several weeks on his Nokia 6110 Navigator. Summary? It has some usablity issues, plus laggy voice instructions, but there are plenty of compensating features which will appeal especially to small businesses.

well actually there is a possibility to switch on shortcut which allows to change between 4 modes (3d, 2d, itinerary and safety) directly form navigation screen

Great review once again ;)

Might be worth mentioning that at present, CoPilot Central does not support a 64bit OS. Could be crucial to someone considering purchasing CoPilot.

Ramzez, I tried all keypresses on the navigation screen, nothing except getting into the menu worked for me. Glitch perhaps?

Logan, thankyou. Perhaps Rafe/Steve will add it in, and its certainly something to consider for any upcoming reviews.

bartmanekul, if you go to Settings>Map and tick Display View Shortcuts you will be able to change view in two presses. :) Also, I think it may perhaps worth mentioning that CoPilot also supports not only S60 devices, but UIQ devices and new Motorola devices as well.

Ramzez, looks like your right. Dont have the oppertunity to try, I havent been able to activate copilot on my new phone yet.

I admit I didnt think it would do that. Something to look out for on future reviews.

Wow, now THAT is an in-depth review!

Well done Luke!

Thanks Krisse! Im trying to use every single feature (although I still miss bits, as ramzez has pointed out) so that people know exactly what they are buying.

It takes an *extremely* long time to go through all that. But, worth it in the end.

Have started on the next one.

Fantastic review, very usefull in helping me decide to get co-pilot,
just a quick note just found out that you can use the volume buttons on the side
of the n95 to control the volume for the program. it was getting very irritating going into settings all the time to change volume,

Good review - I think you've got the strength's weaknesses on the money, it'll be interesting to see what comes out in terms of updates.

You know the only problem I have with it is that if you buy the app from handago then Co-Pilot Central doesn't come with the download.

And if you want to get it - you can but at a cost of £15 GBP :(

Thanks!

Or you can download a torrent of this program for free and get all the updates free like I do... hehe

Don't try and put it on one of these as too many memory issues
