Motorola Z8 at £335 and Ad Campaign on the way

Published by Rafe Blandford at 12:07 UTC, April 23rd 2007

The Motorola Z8 has appeared as available for pre-order in the Motorola UK Shop. Although noted as being subject to change the price is listed as £334.95 SIM Free. Also of Z8 interest is a planned £5 million advertising campaign and details of the contents of the UK retail box.

A price of £335 SIM Free indicates the Z8 will be available on contracts at between £0 and £150. The £335 price point compares favourable with similar specified phones at launch. As with other devices it is likely the cost will fall over the life cycle of the Z8.

Mobile Today's article on the advertising campaign also notes that in the UK the Z8 will be packaged with one of Motorola's Stereo Bluetooth headsets and a memory card with a copy of the Bourne Supremacy movie on it. This bundles underlines the multimedia (particularly the video) features of the phone.
