Nokia continued to push both their mapping service and the customisation potential of the smartphone with the release of Own Voice this week, which allows you to record your own vocal package for the turn by turn directions in Ovi Maps. How easy is it to use? Ewan finds out (below)...

From the download on the front page of the Ovi Store, to being taken through the 54 phrases required to make up a voice pack (including the cliched "You have arrived at your destination"), this is a good example of a simple interface to deliver something that seems magical.

And while the first few packs are going to be simple readings of those key phrases, it is going to be interesting to hear the novelty packs that are sure to come up. Anyway, follow me as I build my first pack - and then try it yourself.
