Review: TouchCalc Lite

Published by Steve Litchfield at 10:42 UTC, February 9th 2010

The calculator genre has been a popular one in all handheld and phone ecosystems over the years. Here I look at TouchCalc Lite, a recent addition to the genre explicitly for S60 5th Edition phones, finding that an austere interface hides an evaluation engine which is surprisingly powerful.

Nice review. Long time I do not use that kind of function graps, but it does look neat. Thanks

Does it have RPN (Reverse Polish Notation = input system used by most HP Calculators)?

Would anyone know of good calculators using RPN for S60v3 and v5? Being and "european" system I find it rather uncommon in UK

Thanks

Seems to be a HP thing. My Texas and Casio machines don't do it.

would be nice, if it would work as CAS

I also need a good RPN calculator for Symbian S60 touch... On S60 3rdEd there is a good replacement in J2ME (RPN Calc) but, although it runs in S60 5th, you'll need a physical keypad in order to input numbers on it.

I am currently using CALCIUM calculator on my E71. I does have RPN in a nice interface but is quite limited. Still looking for a decent HP-12C, HP-41C or even better a HP-28C emulator! Yes, I know that might sound ambicious, but would it be? Particularly for touch devices should be extremely easy.
This could be a new revenue source for HP, and a way to support their branding.
