What comes after Sudoku? How about KenKen, asks Ewan, as he looks at another Japanese number grid-based puzzle game. Adding elements of real mathematics into the puzzle makes it quite a bit more challenging to the ol' grey matter.

I like ken ken on paper, I would pay 5 euros for a version that works well on my Communicator.

The better you get at KenKen, the more satisfaction you get from the game, obviously. There are lots of ways to play online, and lots of apps, but not many good tutorials on strategy of the game.

I've made some free videos about how to solve a basic 4x4 Kenken, as well as an advanced 9x9 KenKen in which the operation signs are not given.
