OGG Support in UltraMP3 v1.5

For all the musically minded smartphone users, LonelyCat's UltraMP3 player now supports Ogg Vorbis playback (an open source file format with greater compression than MP3 for similar sound quality). Version 1.5 is currently available for Series 60, and we'd expect the UIQ and Series 80 versions to follow in good time.

Gerard Wiener, N-Gage chief, holds court on the 22nd of September

Gerard Wiener, the head of Nokia's Games division including all things related to N-Gage, is to take part in a question and answer session in the N-Gage Arena chat room on Thursday the 22nd of September 2005 at 1700 UTC / 10AM PST / 6 PM London Time. You don't need to be an Arena member to enter the chat room and listen, but you need to be registered in order to talk to other people or submit questions to Gerard Wiener. Just Bang The Atoms Together in Atomanic

Atomanic is a great new puzzle game from BitRabbit. If you're looking for another Match Three/Falling Blocks style game, don't bother. Atomanic asks you to move atoms around an increasingly difficult playing field to build a specifc molecule. We'll have a review in the next few days.

Arena 2.5 for N-Gage QD Available

Nokia's N-Gage Arena Launcher has been updated to version 2.5. Note this release is only for the QD, the N-Gage Classic users will have to wait (why I don't know, there's very little difference in the Operating System). New features include Public Group Chat, Friend Rankings, Login Message and Filtered Content.
