Well worth looking out if you're not "a local" is this London A to Z from Lumisoft. Based on the official London Street maps, it should be helpful if anyone is coming over for the All About Symbian Pub Meet in London (jsut before some Symbian Expo Smartphone Show thing).
Sourceforge project QBubbleMP, has its first official release today. Taking the classic Bust-a-Move / Puzzle Bobble gameplay to the UIQ platfrom, and utilising bluetooth for multiplayer gaming, it looks a lot of fun. Worth checking out and seeing how it improves.

Yes for $9.95, CelCall are offering CallMe UIQ and CallMe S60. This app sends a text to someone in your phonebook, asking them to call you so "[you don't] pay incredibly high rates to call home when roaming." Or you could just send a text yourself...
It's no surprise that we do a lot of writing here at All About Symbian, so now that Prime has been released for UIQ, I can retire the battered rhyming sddictionary application on my Psion 5mx and find words that sound a bit like other words on my P900. Nice one Shadowplay.
Erik's finally found a SuDoKu app on his mobile that matches his exacting standards, and it's the version from ZingMagic. It's available for S60, S80 and UIQ phones, and Erik's UIQ review of SuDoKu is here.
Ah the craze for Sudoku continues, and ZingMagic have made their play for the electronic market. It looks to be the best so far, with choice of tilesets, colours, auto generated grids, a puzzle solver, great interface, and available for UIQ, Series 60 and Series 80 Communicators. We'll have a review in a few days.
Instant sis (For UIQ and Series 60) allows you to beam programs between two Symbian OS devices. It takes the SIS installer stub left behind on installation to rebuild a SIS file on the fly, and send that. Great when you're out and about with friends - and developers should note that registration details are rarely in a SIS file so this is, in effect, viral marketing the shareware demos.
Ever wondered how the other side live? Epocware's HandyDesk now has a Palm OS Garnet skin so you can fool all your friends that the new Sony Ericsson phone is running Palm OS and not Symbian.
Following on from his review of Quickoffice, Steve takes a look at Documents To Go, the 'other' office suite available on the UIQ platform. In this review Steve finds a strong product, with excellent round-tripping abilities for your Office documents.
Steve's Project has given UIQ users (primarily Motorola A9xxx devices, but should be okay for Pxxx devices as well) a shot in the arm with ID's 'equal' to Doom, Heretic has been ported to Symbian as EHeretic. It's freeware and Open Source.

The Sony Ericsson Developer World now has RSS feeds available for its content. Obviously the content is developer focused, but interested users might also want to take a look. For example this document is a case study on the Opera web browser on the Sony Ericsson P910.
Quickoffice adds the ability to view, create and edit office documents (Word, Excel and Powerpoint compatible) to your UIQ smartphone. In this review Steve looks at version 3, a recent award winner at the Handango Champion Awards, and finds an impressive on-device office document viewer and editor.
