At last a really good file manager for the Nokia 92x0. RedShift have announced the availability of RedShift Commander. This is a file manager for the experts. Looks like Norton Commander for DOS and is packed with features. Redshift Commander can be purchased via Handango for $9.
TomTom has started to make its CityMaps Navigation software available on a city by city basis (in a modular fashion). In addition TomTom has also made available its route planning software on an area by area basis. There's too many combinations to list but examples are City Maps for Rome or Paris and Route Planner for Germany or the UK. They are all available for ESD via Handango (affiliate link).

Create PDF files on your Nokia 9200 and your Psion PDA. mBrain Software has released PdfPrinter 1.00, for both the Nokia 9200 Series Communicator and for Psion and compatible PDA's.
This just in the the rumoured new Communicator has not appeared the device that generated the rumours is probably the 6800. An interesting looking device. But as far as is know at present not a Symbian device.
According to the Register, Nokia will be releasing the new Communicator (whether it's the actual device or details of it is unclear) on Monday the 4th of November. The new device called the 9230 will have GPRS, MMS and will be tri-band accoding to Swedish phone mag Mobil.
