OPL Wizard is a tool for OPL Programmers, woith statistical tools, unicode and ascii text conversion and a filter to help port ER5 OPL apps (those from the Psion S5mx and compatibles) to Symbian OS 6.0 (the Nokia 9210). Today at Cannes Nokia announced the long awaited Communicator successor Nokia 9500. The tri-band device supporting I-GPRS (EDGE) and Wi-Fi 802.11b is expected to be available in volume during the fourth quarter of 2004. The device is running Series 80 on the inside and Series 40 on the outside.
mBrainSoftware well know for their Pdf viewers for the Symbian platform have released Fonts for the 9200 series. It enables easy installation, removal and management of fonts on the devices.
A developer known on Handango as 'Private' has released an OPL based application called CellTrack; software that does for the 9210 something similar to Psiloc's own pioneering Series60 title, MiniGPS. This application comes in Lite and Pro versions, the difference being that under pro, you can configure Profile changes for different 'cells'. The Pro costs only $9.99 and can be downloaded from here.

Nokia do have a new Communicator, but we're not seeing it just yet. According to this article it may be because of the confused Smartphone market. Marko Luhtala, Director of Business Applications with Nokia Mobile Phones says "...a refresh for the 9200 Communicator series is not top of Nokia's to-do list." So it's not been forgotten...

A new version of the OPL translator is released. It's available in the OPL for Nokia 9200 Communicator user package as well as the developer package. This is a milestone for the opl-dev project: it's the first time a non-Symbian developer has contributed changes to the OPL language source code!
