OK, so it's a slow news week (isn't everybody off at the beach?), but AllAboutSymbian is now showing up with a Google Page Rank of 7. This might not sound very impressive, but it's darned hard to achieve. (It took me 11 years to get enough content and genuine return links to get 3-Lib to PR7 and Rafe and Ewan have done it for AllAboutSymbian in around 3!) Thanks to everybody that continues to visit and recommend AAS!
No real surprises in the changes to Nokia's Board. Jorma Ollila is standing down as CEO but will remain on the board as a Chairman. Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo (the current COO) willstep up to fill the CEO role from within the ranks of Nokia. A solid move, although nothing startling, which should keep Nokia stable as it moves forward.
Steve tries out the Nokia Wireless Keyboard (SU-8W) with the Nokia 7710 and 6630 smartphones and finds it well made but ultimately a little disappointing. Read his review.

Canalys have released the latest (Q2) sales figures for mobile devices. Read the full press release. Summary: smartphone sales double, PDA sales fall, 9500/9300 and Series 60 shipments strong, Symbian 63% overall worldwide market share!
