The user manual highlights some features of the new phone including:
- Email data roaming which enables switching from WLAN to GPRS and back again transparently when using email.
- Details on the WLAN capabilities including support for various security protocols (WEP, WPA, ESA).
- Details on various security features including auto-lock (access only via security code after set time), remote locking, and VPN.
- Details on the new Web Browser including a section on RSS feeds and a useful explanation on what a blog is (see picture).
- Voice Aid which extends the voice featues previously available on S60. In addition to the speaker independent voice recognition you can also access the log, dial a phone number and get the phone to speak the time to you (continuing a long tradition of turning expensive mobile devices into very expensive clocks!).
- Screen Exporter which show the screen of the device to an audience with a compatiable projector.
- Full editing capabilities for Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents (provided by Quickoffice).
- Printing messges and files from the device to compatiable devices (incldes options for page ranges, paper size, margins, headers, printing to file and more).
- Flash Player - Flash Lite movies, animations games an applications.
- Say Callers Name which uses text to speech technology and allows you, if the person calling you is in your address book, to set a ringtone that is a combination of the spoken name of the contact calling you and a ringtone.
