Not able to attend this year’s inaugural Nokia Developer Summit in Monaco? Well all is not lost, you can still view the keynotes, quiz Nokia experts, and follow the ‘official’ event blog – which is already up and running with news about the widget hackathon.

The live event coverage is being hosted at http://events.nokia.com/developersummit/ (also accessible from www.developersummit2009.com). This main page will host the webcasts of the keynote speeches, due to kick off at 9am in Monaco (check out your local time here). The first speaker is Rob Taylor, Head of Forum Nokia followed by Tero Ojanperä, Executive Vice President, Services, Nokia; Lee Williams, Executive Director, Symbian Foundation; and John Faith, Vice President & General Manager of Mobile Operations, MySpace.

The main page also allows you to follow the two ‘Meet the experts’ question and answer sessions, one running from 9am to 11am on Tuesday and a second from 2:30pm to 3:30pm on Wednesday. Here you will have access to Daniel Rocha (Senior Technology Expert), Dr. Jukka Silvennoinen (Senior Technology Expert), Riku Salminen (Senior Technology Expert), Sanna Häiväläinen (User Experience Specialist), and Janaina Pilomia (Product Marketing Manager – EMEA). These sessions are hosted at http://events.nokia.com/developersummit/qa.htm. To take part you will need a Nokia account – if you already use Ovi you will have such an account, if not you can register on http://account.nokia.com.

You can also follow the event through a dedicated Forum Nokia blog, which already has several posts about the widget hackathon that kicked off on Monday. You can find some background on the developers taking part in the hackathon here.

Also watch out for a couple of forthcoming AAS developer articles on the new Nokia N97 SDK and an updated widget tool that should be posted as the event opens.
