Here and now - the context-aware service shortcut from Beta Labs

The Nokia Beta Labs blog recently announced Nokia's latest beta offering - 'Here and now'. This is a context-aware (location) shortcut to services. Currently 'Here and now' provides local weather and events listings. It currently works only with S60 3.2 devices (N79, N85, 6220c etc.), and is currently still in development, but will be pre-installed on a number of upcoming Nokia devices. Beta Labs is asking for your feedback to help shape the future direction of the application. See below for screens and thoughts.

'Here and now' is accessed from a shortcut at the top of your browser bookmarks. The services will take a little while to load, depending on availability/speed of Internet access and location information.

In the case of weather, you can click through to a web site for additional weather information, as shown above. Currently there are two services available via Here and now. The aforementioned weather and a nearby events listing. In my case, there was no information available for local events listing (perhaps not surprising for a rural area), so a rather non-descriptive question mark was displayed.
