The team behind the internet telephony company Truphone have announced their Local Anywhere service at MWC. A SIM card based virtual network, it promises a full voice and data service with clear pricing for the users. Details on those charges should be available before the service launches later in the year.

Truphone Local Anywhere is a single-SIM, multi-country mobile service that will make any mobile call within the set of supported countries into a local call.

Truphone are of course going to be entering a crowded market, but if they can bring their users over from their Voip services thenthey stand a good chance of getting a lot of traction when they go live - and of course those picking up the SIM from various resellers could well sign up to the Voip service as well.
