Recording your Nokia 5800 screen...

Published by Steve Litchfield at 14:52 UTC, January 16th 2009

With the sheer number of people now receiving the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic around the world and eager to show off how it all works, note that Warelex have updated their much-respected Screen Capture utility to support S60 5th Edition. Note that this is not just fixed screenshots, you can capture video of what you're doing on the device, for uploading later to your blog or YouTube. Connections between PC and the 5800 can be via cable, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. v3.0.7 is the version you want, currently only available from the Warelex product page.

You can record the screen of a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with Remote Professional since 10/17/2008 - and of course also make screenshots, fully control the phone by keyboard and mouse, use a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic or N97 skin for presentations, etc. - all in real-time thanks to the hand-optimzed ARM assembler screen scanning routines.

I thought that might happen.

I personally use and prefer Remote Professional, but I guess both applications get the job done :)

You missing one thing that with webcam driver feature Screen Capture can record directly to YouTube real-time or any other application on PC. Also ability to demo application via Skype video conference in real-time is a killer feature for me.
