Padissimo breathing new life into UIQ's front end?

UIQ stawarts CellPhoneSoft have released Padissimo, claiming to "bring novel and unique features". Padissimo "enhances navigation by providing two extra directional pads: one on the screen, and one on the keyboard". These new ways of moving around the screen can be used in any application apparently. More info and links below.
"Padissimo works in lists, menus and other scrollable displays. The appearance of the screen-pad is fully customizable, including colors and transparency. Various pad types can be selected, including animated GIF images as background. Both pads are accessed by configurable hot-keys."
