As the N82 arrived in Steve hands we noticed an interesting detail - bundled navigation. It seems that Nokia's imaging Nseries flagship will be shipping with 3 months of free navigation and local maps pre-installed on the included 2GB microSD card in select European markets. Bundling a few free months of navigation with the N82 is a sensible move by Nokia. It should encourage uptake of Nokia Maps' premium services once the 'free' bundled period expires. Nokia will be hoping that people become reliant on the service and wish to continue using it.

It is worth noting that this bundle is for the premium voice navigation. This is used for in car GPS navigation with step by step voice instructions. As on all Nseries phones (or via a web download) basic mapping usage and route finding is free for all.
