Introducing Mogic: Mobile Magic

Published by at

I've been emailed about mScrapbook, a brand new video editing and uploading/sharing solution from Mogic, a company started by one of Quickoffice's architects. Essentially it creates embeddable Flash movies directly on your smartphone. More details below.

"Our first product, mScrapbook, allows users to create videos from the photos they've taken on their phone. They can attach them to nice backgrounds and add an audio soundtrack (using any mp3 on the phone).

The software turns all of this into a single Adobe Flash movie that can then be easily shared on the web. We provide an upload service (mShare) that allows the user to upload the video to the web directly from the phone. The resulting link can be embedded into their myspace page or blog. The video can also be viewed directly on the mShare site by just sharing the link itself.

The results (at least in my opinion!) are quite impressive. The interface is incredibly simple.. allowing S60 users to get up and running and making these visually impressive videos in just a couple of minutes of time. I think we've developed a very cool application that is fun to use, and visually nice to look at."
