Better video editing and cam quality on N93i

Published by Steve Litchfield at 16:43 BST, October 9th 2007

There's a new firmware on the loose for the Nokia N93i. v30.0.013 is on Nokia Software Update and includes "Nokia Maps 1.0 (edition 1.2)" (eh?), plus faster opening of downloaded video files, MP4 editing improvements, better 2nd camera image quality and support for more Bluetooth stereo headsets.

This makes me so angry
I paid a really huge amount of money for my N93, which is a really great phone.
But it has a lot of bugs and the free ram to boot is not quite a dream.
But Nokia keeps ignoring the buyers of one of their most expensive smarthpones ever (i think amazon lists it even higher then the N95 and N93i).
A2D2 would also be very appreciated
ah, they promised us Nokia Video Center, too
and i'm just starting ...

Does it have search on the standby?

Sucks for N93 owners tho...

Me too... I am a n93 owner too, stuck with v20 of the firmware. But honestly, now I am just plain tired of complaining about nokia ignoring (read abandoning) us. And I dont think Nokia cares. I have seen lots of similar comments around AAS and other blogs on this, and if Nokia truly cared, there would been a upgrade available by now.
And I have lost hope of any support ever coming from Nokia for the n93  .

A thought just struck me:

As far as I recall, apart from the physical appearance and the battery, there is not much difference in the hardware of the n93 and the n93i. Also, I believe the software is quite similar, with the exception of the n93i been able to produce pictures with less static. If is indeed the case, why cant Nokia simply allow loading the n93i's firmware on the n93? That way, we n93 owners get updates, few bugs and Nokia too does not have to work on separate firmware versions.

Win win situation???
