Spodtronic live concerts - but not in the UK!

Published by Steve Litchfield at 13:03 UTC, September 12th 2007

Spodtronic, makers of a streaming music service for S60 3rd Edition smartphones, have signed a deal to get the BBC's archive of live concerts by top acts (AC/DC, Floyd, Led Zep, etc) fully licensed for download. Strangely, the service won't work if you're in the UK (something to do with competing with the Beeb's own plans?), but other Europeans can pay up, shut up and enjoy the music...

Would that be so it doesn't compete with the Beebs own download service? ...the one that' s only available to Windows Vista users.
