Celeris has finally released a proper S60 3rd Edition beta version of their Virtual Pool Mobile simulation. Here's a link to our comprehensive review of the S60 2nd Edition version, which is basically identical, and here's the link to the restricted beta version for all 3rd Edition devices. Please treat the beta with respect and email in bug reports and comments.

N95 users stay clear of this beta test - could be dangeraous :o my N95 black screened and made a nasty popping sound - hissing could be heared from the speakers but the phone was unresponsive to everything including the power button - battery had to be removed to to reboot the phone.

Seems to be running fine on my E61i. The ball animation is simply amazing. I'll send out an email to the developer once I've fully tested it but so far so good.

What happens if you open the slider - does your display flip - mine white screened. After a reboot it black screened when going through the game menus and I had to remove the battery before I could reboot the phone.
Also noticed that game starts up in landscape mode but upside down compared to everything else displayed in landscape.

You can select 'Left Hand' orientation and the landscape mode is 'normal' for the N95. You can also play in portrait if you desire.
