Python for UIQ 2.1 and UIQ 3 - release 0.1

Published by Rafe Blandford at 20:05 GMT, March 22nd 2007

PyUIQ is a Python interpreter for UIQ 2 and UIQ 3 phones. It is based on Python for S60 (PyS60). The first version implements a limited set of libraries, but improvements will hopefully be made in subsequent releases. The first version of PyUIQ can be downloaded from SourceForge

Python is a scripting language that is popular among developers for rapid application development and prototyping new applications. There is an active Python scene within the S60 developer community.

The first release is (probably) suitable only for experienced developers, but may also be of interest to others as a preview.

Thanks to Oscar from the Panic Code blog for the information.
