About the Conference

The Technology Programme at the Oxford University Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Centre is pleased to announce the inaugural ForumOxford: Future Technologies Conference to be held on 13 April 2007 at the University. Sponsored by Google, Alpheus, Admob, Horizon Channel and Mi-Pay, this one-day conference will explore emerging technologies with an emphasis on Mobile / Web 2.0 innovations.

ForumOxford, the web-discussion forum of the Technology Programme, was established a little over a year ago to bring together the best thinkers in the telecoms industry to enable the sharing of ideas on all aspects of mobile applications with other like-minded members of the community. ForumOxford has been a huge success and now has over 1200 members with participants from over 60 countries and from six continents. Recent popular discussion topics have included 'Surfing the web at a fair price', 'The Meaning of iPhone, Part II', 'What are the next BIG mobile services?', 'Seamless mobility, what does it mean to you?' and 'Will VoIP be the end of traditional telecoms'.
