PuTTY for UIQ 3

Published by Rafe Blandford at 11:58 UTC, January 17th 2007

PuTTY the secure shell terminal software is now available for UIQ 3. The software supports SSH protocol version 1 and 2 and private key authentication using keys generated with PuTTYGen. You can connect over WLAN, 3G, or GPRS connectivity. The developer is looking for feedback and suggestions for future versions.

PuTTY can be used to connect to remote servers to access the command line interface via a secure connection. This is a must have tool for many system admins.
