The N93 Version 20

Published by Steve Litchfield at 7:21 GMT, November 4th 2006

More Nokia N93 goodness, this time on the way in the next few days, according to the 'ear to the ground' people at Symbian Freak. The firmware for the N93 jumps from v11 to v20 in one fell swoop, apparently, with extra applications, functionality improvements and bug fixes (including picture noise improvements) by the dozen. It's off to Nokia's Software Update for me, I think, next week!

Highlights:
  • Camera shot-2-shot time, 2.17 Sec
  • Optical Zoom noise reduction algorithm updated to vary according to background noise level.
  • Search added
  • Download! (contains Catalogs) added
  • WLAN Wizard added
  • Zip manager added
  • Camera mode switching: Modes spec updated so that when changing from imaging mode to any other mode with camera still active the UI returns toidle screen rather than activate the sub-camera

In short. Wow. I can't wait!

Altough not mentioned in the improvement list, it's rumored that the simultaneous button bug is fixed, as well. If that's the case, it sure will be one sweet firmware update.

Hi all,
Although in no way desperate for this update i have seen the Video with the someone playing a game and moving whilst shooting so it does appear it will be possible. Please Mr Nokia can i have A2DP support added for Christmas as that's all i really will want after this update.
