One of the new GPS services is aimed at people who lose their phones. It uses the GPS capabilities a substitute for the 'ring and see if I can hear it' technique more commonly employed elsewhere. Users are able to log into a website on a PC and view a map of where there phone. This service will be available free of charge until next summer. Other GPS services include phone watching (e.g. view where children's phones are currently located), automatic notification of your location when you call the emergency services, preinstalled navigation and routing software on GPS enabled phones, and business location which allows companies to track designated employees.
ToruCa functions (includes capturing coupons from QR codes) have also been improved, after the phone communicates with the in-store reader/writer, previously saved data is automatically displayed on the phone. The reader/writer also deletes expired ToruCa promotions automatically.
