Ruby for Symbian is a version of the Ruby object orientated scripting language for Symbian phones. It currently runs on S60 2nd Edition phone and is available only in a preview release version (intended to demonstrate different milestones in the project). Ruby for Symbian was funded by the Google Summer of Code program.

Ruby for Symbian joins Python for S60, Perl for Symian and OPL as open source scripting programming languages. Such scripting languages allow for rapid application prototyping and development in a familiar langauge framework.
