More details of Route 66 for S60 3rd Edition

Route 66 have announced actual availability of its Mobile 7 satellite navigation package for all S60 3rd Edition smartphones and confirmed more details. It comes in both software-only and full kit form (miniSD or MMC Mobile). A review is in progress, but in the meantime, the official press release follows...

July 4th, 2006 – As of today Route 66, the market leaders in navigation solutions for smartphones, will also support the latest generation of smartphones (S60 3rd edition) with its ROUTE 66 Mobile 7 navigation package. ROUTE 66 is the first company to offer a navigation solution for this platform. Nokia supports the new platform with its Nokia N Series and E Series, both of which are expected to become highly popular with multi-media enthusiasts as well as business users. Thanks to ROUTE 66, these users will need only one device for their calls and navigation.

Price and availability
Users have the customary choice of a full kit version and a software-only version of ROUTE 66 Mobile 7. The full kit is available in two different memory card options: miniSD and MMC Mobile. The full kit contains a Bluetooth GPS receiver and in car charger, universal phone bracket to install the mobile phone in the car, a back-up CD-ROM, quick start guide and memory card reader/writer. ROUTE 66 Mobile 7 is available now. The sales price for the Full Navigation Kit for one country/region will be € 299 incl. VAT. The Europe version will be € 399 incl. VAT.

The Software-Only version for one country/region will be € 99 incl. VAT, while the Software-Only version containing maps of all of Europe will cost € 149.
