361 Degrees podcast episode #10 - bothersome things

Published by at

Following on from last week's episode, which focused on Nokia, here is the ninth episode of the 361 Degrees podcast. This week episodes focuses on bothersome things; we talk, grumpy old men style, about some of the (many) things that annoy us about mobile phones. 361 Degrees is a podcast all about mobile technology, created by Ben Smith of Wireless Worker and co-hosted by Ewan MacLeod of Mobile Industry Review and Rafe Blandford of All About Symbian

361 Degrees episode 10

This week we're recording remotely again as Ewan calls in from Austin, Texas. In the last episode of series 1 (don't worry series 2 is already on the way) we have a bit of a whinge discussing 'bothersome things' (as Rafe terms them).

Ben's list covered pages by the time we finished listing them pre-recording so here's a few choice ones... We discuss:

  • WiFi hotspots

  • MMS

  • Batteries

  • Mobile apps failing without coverage

  • Context sensitive ringing

Gumpy old men we might be, but these are the niggles which drive us mad daily. What are yours? Comment on the 361degre.es site. You can also tell us what topics you think we should be covering in series 2.

About 361 Degrees

361 Degrees is a podcast all about mobile technology. From consumer to enterprise and from fun to industry analysis, we investigate and discuss mobile technology and the mobile industry.

Created by Ben Smith of Wireless Worker and co-hosted by Ewan MacLeod of Mobile Industry Review and Rafe Blandford of All About Symbian.

You can follow and subscribe to 361 Degrees on the dedicated mini-site, on Soundcloud, on Audioboo, at Wireless Worker, at Mobile Industry Review, here at All About Symbian, with an RSS reader or podcatcher, or via iTunes.

In working together to create the 361 Degrees podcast, Ben, Ewan and I hope to create an offering that would offer the readers, of all our sites, a sampling of a broader range of topics than we might usually cover individually. We're keen to hear your feedback so please leave your comments below, or on one of the other sites hosting the audio content.
