Nokia Messaging for Social Networks trial closes

Nokia Beta Labs add-on shot at an integrated 'social' experience has now been closed, pending the arrival on the High Street of a full commercial implementation of the ideas and feedback in both Contacts and Ovi Maps in Nokia's Symbian^3 smartphones. Note with the discontinuation of the Beta program you will no longer have access to the Nokia Messaging for Social Networks service.
"We’re now closing the Nokia Messaging for Social Networks Beta trial. In practice this means that the feedback forums at Nokia Beta Labs won’t be actively monitored and Nokia Messaging for Social Networks will be taken out of the list of active beta trials. "

It was a rubbish app anyway and there are far better social apps, including even Facebook's own app. No wonder they pulled it on the E72.
So I take it I can assume that the integration into Contacts / Maps won't include the 3.x devices? That's the normal mode of operation for Nokia. Concentrate on touch, stuff the E series.

heh. Probably. But when you have Gravity, who needs a slower and inferior equivalent from Nokia? The best 8 quid you'll ever spend.

Yeah. I was not impressed with it. It caused stability issues with my phone. I took it off in less than a week. I have other apps that work much better. Perhaps I will give the gold release a try when it becomes available.
