Nokia's Savander answers questions today via Twitter

Published by Rafe Blandford at 23:22 UTC, August 4th 2010

Nokia's social media outreach initiatives continue apace. Today, from 6 pm (UK time), Niklas Savander, who recently became Nokia's head of sales and marketing, will be answering questions  submitted to his Twitter account @NiklasatNokia. The Nokia Conversations Blog has invited everyone to ask any Nokia related questions they may have. Answers will come back via Twitter or via video.

So here's your opportunity to send a question or feedback directly to one of Nokia's highest level executives.

Niklas Savander, Executive Vice President and a member of Nokia’s Group Executive Board will engage in an hour-long open conversation on Nokia via Twitter on Thursday, August 5 at 1 p.m. EDT. He’ll be taking questions and engaging in conversations through his personal handle @NiklasatNokia.

In addition to responding to questions, Niklas will share his views on the state of the mobile industry, the company’s most recent mobile devices, Nokia’s services strategy, operating system choices, and much more. If you have a question, idea or simply wish to provide feedback to him, sum it up in 140 characters for us. Niklas and Nokia want to hear from you so make your voice be heard.

More details on the Nokia Conversations Blog, including Mobile Industry Review's unique interview with him back in 2009. Personally we've always admired his rather funky taste in ties.

A disappointment, though I wasn't expecting much from a marketing guy. He avoided all questions on the N900, and it seems that Nokia are virtually abandoning this device less than a year after it's release. We deserve at least the same Ovi services that are available to Symbian users, in particular full Ovi Maps.

When I purchased the N900, I knew that I was buying a product that was not fully consumer-ready, but I was expecting that it would eventually become so. Nokia have let the N900 community down.
