Nokia Connection is an annual event in Singapore where Nokia showcase their current device and service portfolio and address the SEAP (South East Asia and Pacific) market. This year it is being held on Monday June 14th (tomorrow) at Conrad Centennial Singapore. Asri al-Baker is attending the event on behalf of the Malay language SymbianKu blog, but will also be reporting back for AAS and AAM.

The event will be opened by Chris Carr (Vice President, Sales, SEAP) with keynote given by Jo Harlow (Senior Vice President, Smartphones). This year the theme of the event is: "Your Life. Connected."We're also expecting to hear more about Nokia's approach to "Social Messaging" in the SEAP region.

We're expecting to hear from various Nokia spokespeople including Kenny Mathers (Head of Developer Relations and Community, Forum Nokia SEAP) and Vlasta Berka (General Manager, Nokia Singapore/Malaysia and Brunei) during some of the briefing sessions. The event will also mark the first public outing of the Symbian^3 powered Nokia N8.

Nokia are also likely to underline their three-tier software strategy (Series 40, Symbian, MeeGo) to developers and partners attending the event. The software strategy forms the back bone of Nokia's device and service portfolio strategy over the next few years. Series 40 for low end devices, Symbian for smartphones, MeeGo for high end mobile computing devices.

Asri (@asrialbaker) will be sharing his thoughts and news from the event via Twitter (hashtag #nc2010).
