Nokia Conversations now available in Spanish

Nokia Conversations, the official blog of Nokia, is now available in Spanish as Nokia Conversaciones. The blog will be produced by a team working in Bogota and Miami and aims to find the most interesting stories from Nokia's Latin American operations, with the best stories also be translated and shared on the global (English) blog. The site was officialy unveiled in front of 50 bloggers at the NokiaTalk blogging event.

Nokia Conversations is also available in English and Chinese. The blog recently celebrated it second birthday; it launched in March 2008. The remit of the site is to "cover stories from all around the Nokia neighbourhood" with an emphasis on being part of the conversation on the web about Nokia.

"This is about conversation: We need to respect those who speak to us and about us. We need to listen carefully, without being defensive. We need to speak openly and honestly. We are a participant in the conversation, not the drivers."

Over the last two years the blog has become an increasingly important communication channel for Nokia. It has frequently been used to tell the stories behind service and product launches and to provide additional information beyond the traditional media channels (videos, insight from product managers and son on).

Clearly there is always going to be a delicate balancing act between credibility and following the company line for an official company blog. However, providing readers consider the context, Nokia Conversations is and will remain an invaluable resource.

Nokia also has a variety of other blogs, with many of the consumer-orientated blogs aggregated at blogs.nokia.com.
