The launch of an X6 variant without a Comes with Music subscription makes sense. Not only will it be more widely available, but it is also likely to be more attractive to operators who run their own music services. The X6 16GB should also be significantly cheaper than the original Comes with Music Edition (around 350 Euro, previously 450 Euro).
The Nokia X6 will be more widely available. Previously market availability of the X6 Comes with Music was limited to those countries with a Comes with Music offering (Australia, Austria, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom).
Key differences from the X6 Comes with Music Edition
- 16 GB of internal flash memory (down from 32 GB).
- No Comes with Music subscription included. However the X6 will have full access to the pay per track Nokia Music Store.
- Available in a range of new colours: black, white, white with pink highlights and white with yellow highlights. X6 CwM is available in blue/white and black/red.
