It's..... the daily E-series blog link, this time highlighting the fact that there's a whole new version of Yahoo! Go on the loose. It's a 700K Java applet that's RAM intensive, alas, but that not withstanding it does give complete access to all your Yahoo! stuff and has weather and maps as well, with full GPS integration (on the likes of the Nokia N95). Worth the RAM hit? Here are the Yahoo! Go write-up and links.
For those who were waiting for this, Expansys is now showing the Nokia E90 Communicator as 'in stock', at £553 SIM-free plus VAT. Clove have it for less, but shown as 'Coming soon'. Anyone rich enough to order?

Yes, I know the Nokia N95 has already been reviewed a bazillion times around the Web, but you might like to go through GadgetNutz's during your lunch break as it's detailed and (especially in part 2) pretty insightful and shows a real understanding of the S60 platform. A little broken English here and there, but you'll enjoy part 1 and part 2. (via WOM)
Here are a few Moto Z8 news snippets. Stuart Clark let us know about the launch of a new Z8 focused website Moto Smartphones. The Z8 is now becoming more widely available; it is available on O2 in the UK for free on select contracts. SIM free phones are expected to reach retail in August. Finally Yahoo Go is also now available for the Z8.
Is it going to be too little too late? Announced at the start of the week is the joint program by Sony Ericsson and Orange to use music smartphones to promote unsigned bands in a traditional ‘Battle of the Bands’ voting experience. And while it will promote both the audio and video capabilites of (I’m assuming) the W960, it’s going to be attempting something else.
Yup, you read that right. The Sony Ericsson P1i, combining the best bits of the original UIQ 3-powered P990 and M600, is only 4 days away from availability now available and in stock at Clove Technology. It's listed at only £315 plus VAT, too, at which price it should do very well.
A timely reminder from Scottish Games Developers Black Company Studios about how important the UI is on both a mobile device and in applications . It's an area that is getting more and more attention in the mobile market, partly because with the hardware specs of mobile phones becoming similar by the day, how people interact is becoming a major selling point.

I know the Sony Ericsson UIQ 3 smartphones haven't been to everyone's tastes, but I couldn't help noticing that the SIM-free, unlocked price for the M600i is now only £137 plus VAT, while the larger P990i is only £166 plus VAT. With latest firmware for each, there's a bargain to be picked up here, if you ask me.
The Nokia E61i just scored a victory by being PDA Essentials magazine's Group Test Winner in its seven page 'Email smartphones' feature, in issue 64, out now in the UK and selected world destinations. PDA Essentials concluded that 'the excellent voice quality and immense battery life helped tip it that one step higher to take the top spot in a field of mobile messaging monsters'.
