TechCrunch40 is an event for start-ups to present new ideas and products to the world. One of the mobile companies there was the Irish based Cubic Telecom, and their 'MaxRoam' sim. Geared towards international travellers, it promises to cut the cost of mobile roaming by up to 80%, with calls from 1 to 15 (US) cents a minute... so about 7p. I sat down with CEO Pat Phelan to find out more about how it works.
