Nothing new on the software front - it's all out there already.
I like the sound of the Bronze finish though..

Taz - I can't find Yahoo Go for my N80. Where do you get it?

It will be interesting to see whether there are any 'hidden' improvements for example to the camera or memory optimisation.
In the past with 'i' versions of Nokia phones it has not been possible to upgrade existing phones to the new version, however if as stated there are no 'hardware' changes then surely it will be possible to flash existing N80's with the N80i software.
Time will tell.....

If you read the full press release it also mentions about 'voip'
'Making an Internet call with the Nokia N80 Internet Edition is as easy as making a regular voice call only the call is carried over WLAN. The VoIP framework (based on the SIP protocol) is integrated into the Nokia user interface, and the Nokia N80 Internet Edition is allows for downloading compatible third party internet call applications.
previously although you could enter sip settings only the e series phones had the voip function

Correction
The N80 currently only has WCDMA 2100, not 1900+2100. I do not think that the N80i, which seems to only include software upgrades, would add another WCDMA band. A different version of the N80 (N80-3) was planned to include 1900 for the USA but it is as yet unreleased.

My apologies on the band mistake. It has only one. The N80i like the N80 is 1900 or 2100.

I think most of that improvements can be done with 3rd party software. Hope this new N80i could make the regular N80 become cheaper and buy it :-)

Hmmm, interesting I'm curious that is there any hardware changes, and also, will Nokia maintain two different firmwares for 'normal' and internet edition' N80s...

Taz: Thanks but I'd found that. My point was that the N80 isn't supported yet. I understood from your earlier comment that it was. The link shows it still missing as a supported phone.

There is no such thing as the N80i. The press release refers to the product as 'Nokia N80 Internet Edition'. So i assume its ike the N93 Golf edition. Same phone(N80) but with some extra software already installed.
