The game's implemented in Qt and is, if I'm honest, a little rushed in appearance and gameplay. However, there's a germ of a great idea here (and no, I don't mean shooting Rafe!). We've all fancied having a go at target practice in a secret spy-training underground bunker - the lights are dimmed, we're handed a high performance pistol and then set free to see how fast and accurate we are...
In target mode, you have to hit each target as quickly as possible - delay too long and it rotates back and the game's over. How long can you concentrate for? I got up to 150....
There's a bare bones top menu, plus a 'high scores' module that I've not bothered showing because it simply doesn't work. However, in addition to the target practice game above, there's also a novel camera-using 'fun' mode, in which the world around you is used (and zoomed, as if from a sniper's rifle sight):
It's at this point that I should emphasise that I really don't want to kill Rafe. Honest! Taking the shot sounds off an appropriate rifle bang, of course. I guess you might have fun with this around the office.....
Shoot The Target is a novelty game at best, here in the Nokia Store for £1. Which is about the right price for a novelty, if the concepts grab you. Just don't expect a tour-de-force of game programming!
