Second linked Nokia 603 review of the day!

Published by at

Seems like today's the day for linking to Nokia 603 mini-reviews. Here's our second link of interest of the day, this time from Timo Vasara, writing here back in March on Symbian Suomi,. His review has been tweaked slightly, not least to reflect that the 603 is now available for sale in his native Finland. It's fair to say that Timo is quite positive, with the only negatives being the absence of an LED flash for the camera (more a disappointment because there's no 'torch' mode, I'd say....)

From the updated review:

So for whom is the 603 for? For a first time smartphone buyer or a casual user, who wants a fun, fast little phone without losing features like GPS, Wifi or NFC. I have enjoyed using the 603 and could even see myself using the phone as my daily driver. I'm not sure if or when the 603 is coming for sale in Finland, but I hope it does.
EDIT: The 603 is now available in stores for about 240 euros.

If you're buying a mid range smartphone, I recommend you try the 603.

Pros
+Fast and smooth OS
+Feels nice in the hand
+NFC
+Truly amazing battery life

Cons
-No camera flash

603 on desk

Good to hear how great the speaker is - a regular point of complaint by me when reviewing phones. And good to see that the device is snappy even though its processor hasn't had the 1.3GHz speed bump lent to the Nokia 701 and 700....

We're working on getting a 603 for AAS review.... honest!
