You've got to be jealous of Ari Partinen. His job for the last week or so: go to somewhere sunny and colourful (Thailand) and take a truckload of photos with the new Nokia 808 PureView, to show off what it can do. What a life. It's not as if I ever get to head out and about to take test photos with cutting edge smartphones.... oh wait(!) Still, nice location and some nice photos, even if not many have been shared so far on Nokia's official Flickr channel here.

Nice (bokeh) use of depth of field. To give you an idea of the detail and quality, here's a crop of the centre of the original 5 megapixel PureView image:

I know lighting conditions must have been near perfect and that the PureView 5mp images will come into their own once things get more challenging, but this is still a clean, realistic image.
