Q. I keep setting built-in messaging apps to use my mass memory for their data and they keep switching back. Why do they do this?
A. Every time you connect up your phone in PC Suite or Data Transfer/Mass storage mode, your PC 'mounts' your phone's storage disks (E: and F: on an N97 - for example - with mass memory and microSD). This locks them out for phone use, so any running apps will be forced to switch back to disk C: For this reason, it's best to stick to C: for data and try to manage your free space better.
