How do I restore my S60 3rd Edition smartphone to factory settings?

Q. How do I restore my S60 3rd Edition smartphone to factory settings?
A. In exactly the same way as you do it for S60 2nd Edition devices, contrary to popular opinion.
- Power down your smartphone
- Press and hold down 'Green', '*' and '3' at the same time
- Press the power button for one second, while still holding the other three keys down
- Release the three keys when the Nokia logo appears.
This procedure only seems to 'fail' when the key sequence is not done properly. Unless you're very nimble, you might need to ask a friend to help you!

Comment: I use Nokia N93i.
If I do restore to factory settings (green button+*+3), will it install default themes & application again?

Comment: I have an E51 that I would like to completely reset.
Have tried the #7370# service request, but it doesn't go through.
Is there another way to do a reset?
PS. the trouble happened with downloading Windows Live. It downloaded ok but can't be opened, and this seems to have screwed up the processor. Everything is very slow now. And I cannot figure out how to delete the downloaded file. All help would be appreciated

Comment: You forgot the asterisk; it is *#7370# and not just #7370#
