Q. I'm trying to connect my Nokia 9500's Wi-Fi to my router at home, which is using 64-bit WEP encryption. My 9500 however only allows for 40, 104 and 232 bits. What should I do?
A. The '40 bits' quoted in the 9500's WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) dialog is actually the same as the '64 bits' quoted in your PC's setup screens. The 'missing' 24 bits are actually used for the 'initialisation vector', but you don't need to worry about the technicalities. Just type in your five character secret string of characters and all will be well.
