nopCon for Symbian UIQ devices provides a very fast and efficient way to find contacts from your addressbook.
With every keypress on the virtual keypad, the contacts list is searched, using a T9-/iTap-like search algorithm. Matching entries are displayed instantely.

The search-result-list is customizable: Select up to 3 different fields (familiy name, given name, etc) which will be displayed and searched.
nopCon is not intended to completely replace the built-in contact application, but after a short time, you'll see that you don't want to miss nopCon's fast search capabilities!
Simply type each character of your searchtext on the virtual keyboard. E.g. if you search for LARA you type 5 2 7 2. Or search for BILL then type 2 4 5 5.
The "?" key matches any character. Press and hold to switch to the contacts list.
Press the "C" key once to erase the last typed key. Press and hold to reset the search and start again.
When you type a phone number it is shown in the menu top right on the screen. Tap the number to get the Call/SMS/MMS menu.
Or press the green "send" key to dial the typed number (Motorola only).
9 telephone numbers can be set up as SpeedDial. Once you have assigned a phone number to a key (1 to 9) through the setup dialog, instantely dial the number by pressing and holding the key on the virtual keypad for at least one second.

nopCon comes with a Controlpanel-applet that allows setting ringtones to contacts in a group/folder in one-go.
Switch to the Control panel, select the tab General (or Other) and start Ringtune Groups
You can select a contact folder (also named category or group), the ringtone you want to change from (only contacts with this ringtone will be changed, or select "any" for all contacts), and the new ringtone the contact will be set to.

nopCon is available in english, french, italian, german, russian and polish language, selectable during installation.
