Steps to avoid certificate error: Before installing, please go through the following steps and make sure that the software installation setting is "All" and not "Signed only".

Go to Tools > App. mgr. (scroll down to find it)
Select Option>settings
Change "Software installation" from "Signed only" to "All".

Otherwise a "certificate error" dialog will appear during installation. Also note that different phones may have different paths to reach the App. mgr.


Symot Tracker (Live) cum Navigator Features

Symot Tracker (Live) cum Navigator for Nokia S60 3rd edition phones can be used as a Navigator. You can view your location map by hitting "View my map" from the options menu. When you move, map also moves along with you with your location at the center.

You can view the co-drivers current map by hitting "View co-drivers map" on the phone. Co-drivers are the other drivers under your Symot tracker account. In order to add a co-driver, go to "edit profile" page after you login from the Symot Tracker website and add a new device. When your co-driver move, map also moves with his location at the center.

You can also see your current tracks or co-drivers current tracks by logging at the Symot Tracker website. You can also select a date and view your previous tracks or your co-drivers previous tracks on the selected date.

Bluetooth GPS receiver automatically reconnects within 2 minutes with the phone if you go away from the GPS receiver and gets back near to it.

If by any chance GPRS (internet) gets inactive in your phone or you are not in a GPRS active area, Symot Tracker records your route in the phone and sends it to the server once your GPRS is active.

You can set the periodicity from the Admin screen on the phone OR from the "Edit Profile" page after you login from the Symot Tracker website. You may adjust the periodicity depending on the interval between which you need to track your vehicles. When using as a Navigator, periodicity of 15 seconds is preferred.

You can set the time zone of your place in the Admin screen on the phone. (For eg, if you are in India set it as +05:30, if you are following Pacific standard time set it as -08:00, For Melbourne, Sydney In Australia set it as +10:00) The Default time zone set is GMT(+00:00).

Steps for Tracker cum Navigator Setup:

i. Download this application and install it on your phone.

ii. Sign up for a tracker account at www.symot.com/tracker OR choose "signup" from options in the phone application.

iii. Open the application from the phone and hit "Admin Login" option and login using the same username and password used during Sign Up.

iv. Once you have logged in as Admin on the phone, Select the Bluetooth GPS receiver, Internet access point, Periodicity, Time zone and set the Service status as "ON" and hit SAVE to start the service.

v. Whenever you want to change Bluetooth GPS receiver, Internet access point, Periodicity, Time zone or the Service status, Login the admin screen and make necessary changes and hit "SAVE".

vi. To exit the application, hit "EXIT" from the options menu. Hitting "Close" option on the phone will not exit the application and the application will be running on the background.

vii. To track the device, log in at www.symot.com/tracker. You can view the latest tracks as well as tracks for previous dates.

viii. To view your location map on the phone, hit "View my map" from the options menu. Make sure that "show images" is TURNED ON in the browser settings. When you move, map also moves along with you with your location at the center. Location Maps are Google maps and may not be available for all regions.

ix. You can also view your co-drivers location map by hitting "View co-drivers map". Co-drivers are the other drivers under your Symot tracker account. Co-Driver’s map moves as his location changes.
