PhoneBAK GPS (Symbian OS)

An integrated solution (''Anti-theft'', ''GPS Tracking'' and ''Emergency'') that lets users locate their friends, classmates, vehicles or family members to know their whereabouts.

PhoneBAK GPS lets the parents see the location of their children mobile phones, employers to track their vehicles and also the whereabout of employees (journalists, agents etc) when carrying out their work.

How it works? The employer can simply request the location of the delivery vehicle by sending a SMS to the driver''s phone.

When the SMS is received as an incoming message; PhoneBAK will then be triggered and switch on the GPS automatically and calculate the location of the whereabout of the person. Once the information is collected, it will be sent back as a SMS to the requestor''s mobile phone with a URL of the map.

If the 3G network or GPS feature is not available, PhoneBAK will automatically make use of the available telecommunication infrastructure such as Area Code and Cell ID to pinpoint its location.

Additional features

I. Anti-theft

Checks on any Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card inserted into the stolen phone and if unauthorized, it sends SMS text alerts, location (Area Code & Cell ID) to notify the theft and wipeout all video, photos, documents!

II. Auto Data Wipeout

Performs a ''Hard Reset'' to wipeout all files on external storage card and set the device to factory default to protect confidential information. Once the SMS Alert Message is sent, the device will be on standby to perform the ''hard reset''.

Hard Reset

- wipes out all data in the mobile phone after the SMS Text Alert is sent out.

Wipe Storage Card

- wipes out all data in the external storage card inserted in the mobile phone.

Protection

- requires the correct password to enter this program. Wrong entry will result in SMS Text messages send and perform Hard Reset and/or Wipe Storage Card.

III. Access Management

Trigger alarm when an unauthorized user tries to access the phone''s content without the correct password.

IV. SOS Alert

In case of emergency, use SOS for your ''single-tap'' quick dial in an emergency to a configurable telephone number and also send out the latest location to a pre-defined email address.

This is most useful for folks, kids, logistic related users that need immediate attention when they are in danger.
